| At Telluride Kayak School we have developed a cutting edge curriculum and teaching progression. At TKS we are passionate about instruction, teach in small groups with low ratios, and have a perfect safety record. We hold our Instructor Candidate Program up to any program, anywhere.
This course provides the quintessential balance between theory and practical applications. Teaching whitewater kayaking and managing a variety of different groups in the dynamic river environment requires an ever expanding skill set. We've been there in all situations, from 1/2 day trips to multi-week expeditions. We will share our knowledge and experience with all of our candidates.
Finally, this course will examine each candidate's paddling technique and provide world class instruction in kayaking's most efficient paddling concepts, techniques, and methodology. You will become a much better whitewater kayaker!
This course is in accordance with all American Canoe Association Guidelines. Candidates will strive for one of the following ACA Instructor levels: Basic Kayak, Whitewater Kayak and Advanced Whitewater Kayak Instructor Certifications.
